Defect Management & Reporting

Defects found during functional testing will be logged and escalated as appropriate to ensure prompt resolution by the development team. Each logged issue/defect is assigned a severity level according to the priority assigned to each test case. Once the issue is fixed; it is retested, if it has a passed status it will be closed but if the issue has a failed status it will be sent back to the development or support team for further resolution.

Defects found during functional testing are assigned with one of the following four (4) levels of severity:

Defect Reporting on a daily basis and tracking is done using Quality CertainSpiraTest and a number of open source and licensed tools, including Test Link, JIRA, Zephyr, Test Track, and Quality Centre, exclusively for test management, which offers clients more convenience without additional costs.
